- Background
- Binds to the dendritic targeting element and may play a role in mRNA trafficking(By similarity). Part of a ternary complex that binds to the downstream control sequence(DCS) of the pre-mRNA. Mediates exon inclusion in transcripts that are subject to tissue-specific alternative splicing. May interact with single-stranded DNA from the far-upstream element(FUSE). May activate gene expression. Also involved in degradation of inherently unstable mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements(AREs) in their 3'-UTR, possibly by recruiting degradation machinery to ARE-containing mRNAs.

At 2-8 °C unless the datasheet says otherwise. Do not freeze a kit that is not marked for freezing.
How long is an opened kit stable?
It depends on the component. The Kit Components table on this page lists the storage condition for each item after opening.
What should I do if the shipment arrives warm?
Photograph the package and contact us the same day. Do not use the kit until we have confirmed it is still within specification.

My background is too high. What should I check?
The usual causes are insufficient washing, contaminated buffers, or too much detection antibody. Our Protocol pages cover the full troubleshooting sequence.
Can I run fewer wells than the kit provides?
Yes. Dismountable microplates let you use part of a plate and reseal the rest with the desiccant supplied.
